3RD ANNUAL HEALTH SYMPOSIUM
As news of health care reform floods the media, the nation idles, wondering what is going to happen, and when. The Office of Dispute Resolution is holding a Healthcare seminar in Lubbock, Texas, October 16, 2009 to answer some of the questions.
National, state, and local associations, doctors, nurses, and attorneys have been invited to speak at what is shaping up to be a cutting-edge informational seminar. Confirmed speakers include the Texas Hospital Association, Texas Medical Association, Texas Department of Insurance, and Texas School Nurse Organization, and confirmation is pending for several other renowned people and organizations.
Join afternoon presenters Archie Alexander, M.D., J.D., LL.M., and Tracy Wilson of Press Ganey, as they discuss consumer reports, red flag issues, and the role Alternative Dispute Resolution may play in representing clients in this new environment. The event will be moderated by David O’Dell, M.D., J.D., M.B.A., M.H.S.M, whose rounded experience will be woven throughout each presentation as he discusses avoiding medical malpractice claims.
This leading and informative seminar is for legal and health care professionals, pharmaceutical and insurance representatives, and consumers who are interested in hearing breaking news of health care reform. Presenters will share their views on how the health and legal industries will be impacted, and the impact this institutional reform will have on you.
Continuing education credits are available for most professions. The registration fee is $75, and RSVP is requested, as space is limited and lunch will be provided. Registration fee includes CE credits, lunch, light refreshments, and program materials. Call for group and student discounts. The training will be held at Region 17 Education Service Center, 1111 West Loop 289 (between 19th and 4th on Frankford Avenue) in Lubbock, October 16, 2009 from 9:00am-4:30pm, with registration opening at 8:30am.
