Function of Office

The Lubbock County Juvenile Justice Center with participation and involvement of the community protects serves both juvenile offenders and the community by:

  • Screening, investigating, supervising, counseling and referring for services juveniles involved in law violations.
  • Providing detention that is safe, secure and nurturing for juveniles who must remain in custody.
  • Providing a residential treatment program in a safe, secure, and nurturing environment in which juveniles are encouraged to change behavior with therapeutic counseling, positive reinforcement and consistent discipline.
