All applications are reviewed to ensure the minimum requirements have been met.
Detention Officer Requirements:

1. Be at least 21 years of age
2. Not have been arrested for a Class B Misdemeanor offense in the past 10 years, and have never been convicted of an offense of Class A Misdemeanor or any Felony, which includes a sentence of Deferred Adjudication.
3. Possess a valid Texas Driver’s License
4. High school diploma or GED
5. Complete a language skill and reading comprehension test
6. Have not been discharged from any military service under less than honorable conditions including specifically:

• Under other than honorable conditions
• Bad conduct
• Dishonorable
• any other characterization of service indicating bad character

Clerk requirements:

1. Be at least 18 years of age
2. Not have been arrested for a Class B Misdemeanor offense in the past 10 years, and have never been convicted of an offense of Class A” Misdemeanor or any Felony, which includes a sentence of Deferred Adjudication.
3. Possess a valid Texas Driver’s License
4. High school diploma or GED
5. Complete a language skill and reading comprehension test
6. Complete a typing test.
7. Have not been discharged from any military service under less than honorable conditions including specifically:

• Under other than honorable conditions
• Bad conduct
• Dishonorable
• any other characterization of service indicating bad character
