All applications are reviewed to ensure the minimum requirements have been met.
Detention Officer Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Not have been arrested for a Class B Misdemeanor offense in the past 10 years,
and have never been convicted of an offense of Class A Misdemeanor or any
Felony, which includes a sentence of Deferred Adjudication.
- Possess a valid Texas Driver’s License
- High school diploma or GED
- Complete a language skill and reading comprehension test
- Have not been discharged from any military service under less than honorable conditions including specifically:
- Under other than honorable conditions
- Bad conduct
- Dishonorable
- any other characterization of service indicating bad character
Clerk requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Not have been arrested for a Class B Misdemeanor offense in the past 10 years, and have never been convicted of an offense of Class A” Misdemeanor or any Felony, which includes a sentence of Deferred Adjudication.
- Possess a valid Texas Driver’s License
- High school diploma or GED
- Complete a language skill and reading comprehension test
- Complete a typing test.
- Have not been discharged from any military service under less than honorable conditions including specifically:
- Under other than honorable conditions
- Bad conduct
- Dishonorable
- any other characterization of service indicating bad character
