INSPECTION: You must schedule an appointment to view items, vehicles and/or equipment with the assigned contact personnel listed with the item. Inspections are by Appointment Only.

REMOVAL: BY APPOINTMENT ONLY, same-day requests may not be honored. NO SATURDAY OR SUNDAY REMOVAL IS STRICTLY ENFORCED. You must schedule removal appointment 24 hours in advance. All items must be removed by the final removal date of October 30th, 2023. Upon receipt of payment received, Bidder must contact Jacob Thomas of the Lubbock County Purchasing office at (806) 775-1786 in order to obtain vehicle title and authorization for the removal with the appropriate contact individual for the item’s location. YOU MUST BRING A CURRENT PHOTO ID AND A COPY OF THE PAID RECEIPT FROM RENE BATES AUCTIONEERS IN ORDER TO PICKUP THE LOT(S). Lots purchased must be removed in their entirety on the day of scheduled pickup. Bidders who have not FULLY removed their lot(s) in a timely manner, will be asked to leave and will need to reschedule. After the final day for removal, fees will apply.

At the time of removal, the Bidder is completely responsible for bringing all tools, trailers, materials, supplies and man-power necessary to remove lots in a timely manner. Lubbock County is not obligated to offer ANY assistance. Lubbock County will not ship, package, or provide 3rd party information for shipping. Lubbock County DOES NOT provide transportation or loading services for bidders to remove their merchandise. Any and all methods of lifting, towing, and hauling, as well as all other methods or requirements for the removal and transport of the materials, equipment and/or vehicles, is the sole responsibility of the Bidder.

3RD PARTY PICKUP: If you are sending a third party person, transportation service or movers to pick up any purchased lot, Bidder must email or fax Jacob Thomas [jthomas@lubbockcounty.gov, (806) 775-7981] an AUTHORIZATION OF RELEASE FORM. Click here... or contact Lubbock County Purchasing to review the Authorization of Release Form which MUST be received 1 business day before pick-up. Include the following information in the authorization form:

  • Name of the bidder (Must match the name on the Paid receipt), signed and dated.
  • List of the lots to be picked up.
  • Front and Back copy of the bidder’s driver’s license.
  • Name/Contact information of third party person. Third Party MUST have a valid Driver’s License/ Official ID or they will not be allowed to take any items.
  • Advise Lubbock County to mail the title or release title to third party. (See REGARDING PAPERWORK section for additional information).
  • Bidder is responsible for informing third party person or Transport Company of the pick-up schedule mentioned above.

REGARDING PAPERWORK: Bidder must contact Jacob Thomas of the Lubbock County Purchasing office at (806) 775-1786, jthomas@lubbockcounty.gov, in order to obtain vehicle title. Title(s) will be transferred to the successful Bidder’s name ONLY, AS NOTED ON THE PAID RECEIPT – NO EXCEPTIONS. Rene Bates Auctioneers, Inc., as acting agent for the Seller, does not possess, cannot process and is not responsible for preparing or delivering title documentation to the winning bidder. The Seller, as posted at the top of the auction listing, will complete and provide all title documentation to the Bidder. RENE BATES AUCTIONEERS, INC. IS NOT THE SELLER.

FEES: If you fail to meet your scheduled appointment you WILL BE charged a $25.00 REMOVAL ASSESSMENT FEE by Lubbock County Purchasing. You will have to reschedule a new removal appointment time and the removal assessment fee will be collected by LUBBOCK COUNTY PURCHASING before you will be able to remove your item(s). Appointment may have to be scheduled for a different day. Removal terms apply to rescheduled appointments. After the final day for removal, a storage fee of $25.00 per day, per LOT will be charged to the Bidder for any items that have not been removed. ALL fees will be collected by LUBBOCK COUNTY PURCHASING, in the form of a MONEY ORDER OR CASHIER’S CHECK ONLY (no checks or cash will be accepted), from the Buyer prior to item pickup. Only Lubbock County Purchasing has the authority to waive fees.

ONE-TIME EXTENSION: If the Bidder is unable to remove their merchandise by the final removal date, the Bidder MUST contact LUBBOCK COUNTY PURCHASING, PRIOR to the final removal date to make alternate arrangements. Lubbock County Purchasing, at their sole discretion, will allow the Bidder an appropriate amount of additional time to remove the merchandise via one-time extension ONLY.

UNCLAIMED ITEMS: For any items not removed by the final removal day, and a consistent good faith effort is not made to retrieve them the ownership of the merchandise will revert to Lubbock County, to dispose of or re-sell the item at their discretion. Failure to remove bidder’s items or comply with any of the listed terms can result in a delay in the release of bidder’s items and/or Rene Bate’s account being locked from bidding on future Lubbock County auctions.

NOTE: All merchandise is Sold As-Is, Where is and with all faults and defects. Bidder is responsible for inspecting merchandise prior to bidding.
